Hi. Thanks for stopping by. You probably want to know a little about us and whether we are the right photography studio for your wedding. I hope to hear your story in person soon, and perhaps be a part of that story as you embark on your married life together.  In the meantime let me tell you ours.

My name is Ben and I'm the principal photographer & owner of Fusion Photography. I fell in love with my soul-mate when I was only 18 and have now been married to her for 28 blissful years. She is the most gorgeous, adorable, caring & warm-hearted woman in the world and I'm still madly in love with her. In fact it hurts to be seperated for more than a day and I think of her all day while sitting in my office processing photos. I guess you could say I'm a hopeless romantic and a complete softy. I still buy her roses & cry in all the chick flicks we see together. So naturally I'm a big beleiver in the institution of marriage and I love weddings! I have the best job in the world, getting to go to a wedding every weekend and dreaming/wishing that the young couple will be as happily married as we are.....

When it comes to my work I devote myself to things with a passion and a pretty obsessive attention to detail (my wife claims I have OCD but I dont beleive her because I don't have the genius of TV's detective Monk). My goal from the start was that Fusion Photogrpahy would reflect my ideals for the highest levels of professionalism and quality, and I get so much satisfaction from providing my clients with stunning images, luxury products and caring service. I work with them personally through the whole wedding process, from the initial planning to the delivery of their stunning hand-crafted designer album. I do not out-source any part of the photographic process, I personally (and painstakingly) process each and evey photo that leaves the studio. Being a "gadget boy" as my wife calls me I also spare no expense in providing my couples with the benefits of the latest state-of-the-art camera technology & post-production facilities. And when it comes to choosing your designer album and other products we carry a full range of innovative international products sourced from the most pre-eminent suppliers in the world.

So what can you expect if you allow me the honour of shooting your wedding? Well I have three main objectives: 1. To make you look the best you've ever looked in a photo, 2. For the photos to capture & be a reflection of your personalities and your relationship, and 3. To create a unique work of art that you will treasure on your wall or be proud to display in your wedding album. My shooting style is inspired by my own aesthetic values of romance, glamour & beauty. I know how hard it can be to be photographed so to acheive those objectives I also make sure your shoot is relaxed & fun to help you overcome any nerves or fears you may have about being photographed and to allow your personalities to shine through. No boring posing sessions here & I will never ask you to say "cheese"! My couples always end up telling me what a ball they had and how quickly the time went.

I shoot weddings all over Australia & international destination weddings as well. In the last few years I have been privileged to shoot weddings in South East Asia, China, Pacific Islands, Europe & North America and I'm always happy to travel and explore new places. Though weddings are my core business, I also enjoy children's portraiture and theatre photography. I support many local theatre groups such as The Queanbeyan Players, Canberra Dramatics, The Q, and The Canberra Philharmonic. I have also been the official photographer for the Canberra International Music Festival for the last three years. I have held a number of successful exhibitions the details of which can be viewed on my Bio Page.

I have been privileged to train with many of the best photographers in the world over the years and now I really enjoy passing on all my photographic knowledge to others. I am actively involved in the photography industry on many levels as a teacher, mentor, industry advocate & competition judge. I am a current council member of  ACT division of the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers and have served as past-president for a number of years. Along with the many private students I teach each year, I regularly run creative photography workshops such as the annual ones at Floriade. I also give photography lectures and judge competitions for many of Canberra’s active photographic clubs.
